Photopoints

Every month EstuaryWatch volunteers take a series of photos to track changes in the condition of the estuary mouth. These photos are taken from the same location and in the same direction every month so that photos can easily be compared over time. For the estuary snapshots, photopont photos have been stitched together to create a panorama.

 

Longitudinal water quality profile

 

The longitudinal profile shows the depth, salinity and per cent saturation of dissolved oxygen (DO)at each monitoring site from the surface of the water column to the bottom. To the left of the profile is the estuary mouth and to the right of the profile is the inland extent of the estuary. At the base of the profile all water quality monitoring sites along the length of the estuary are listed. The profile gives a rough indication of how the salinity and depth of the water column changes from the mouth of the estuary to the inland extent. If you hover over the blue dots at the top of profile you can also see how the percent saturation of dissolved oxygen changes at depth.
