Despite heavy rain on 10/5 - 19.0; 11/5 - 33.4; 12/5 - 7.8.   there was little change since the last regular monitoring in April.  One could see where the flow of water had flooded over the beach by the fact that sand hand been washed up into a small  embankment and was washed smooth across a much wider width than normal.

Erskine River mouth had been closed for several days after being artificially opened on 13 April. Lorne received 31 mm rainfall (as measured at North Lorne) on 30 April and 1 May. On the morning of 2 May mouth was observed to be naturally open. Height of cut was estimated to be 1.5 to 2 metres, by comparison with the height of a heron standing nearby. Photo was taken from GOR above EP3 and EP4. River height on depth gauge on bridge was 0.7m. Alain Purnell
