Lots of floating weed and feathers. Birds nearby at the outlet of Lake Connewarre include: pelicans, black swans, pied cormorants, white faced heron, ibis, hawks, stilts.

More bird life than normal, spoonbills ,yellow billed and royal, terns ,fairy and caspian,white egrets,pied and little cormorants,white faced herons, pelicans, swans,plovers,ravens, swamp harrier,and possibly a whistling kite

Sunny, day with a slight northerly wind. Water flow 2-3 knots.

Graeme saw an eel jump from the water and we both observed a seal playing in the water of the Thunderbolt.
