UR fault on ph meter. Calibration fail. - No worries, J.Obst
Results look good; strong salt wedge forming due to declining inflows. Thanks Jarred. |

Thanks everyone! Results remain really interesting and fantastic photopoints capturing the current mouth condition. Interestingly, there's been enough flow to keep the mouth open, but not enough to completely flush the lower depths which still contain some older salty water. It will be very interesting to see if tomorrow's results have improved the lower depths given we've had a fantastic month of autumn rainfall which has resulted in the first sign of freshwater inflows into our estuaries. Regards Jarred. |

Jarred - thanks everyone for your monitoring. Results are very interesting, particularly the low D.O, but I believe your values are true and have picked up on an algal bloom. This is quite common in this part of the estuary, and i've since seen some very high and very low readings over each diurnal (daily) cycle as the algal produces oxygen during sunlight, and then consumes it during darkness! |

J.Obst - sorry to hear about the meter; i'll look into this for you. Other readings show a very distinct salt-wedge which reflects the recent dry weather and summer flow reduction. |

Thanks Gary & Rachel. Very well mixed freshwater dominated profile at present. Interestingly, D.O.s are slightly on the low side, but this is something we've seen during previous years in Sept/Oct. Cheers Jarred. |

Great results everyone, thanks for this recent monitoring. June rainfall has definitely impacted the water quality - in a good way - with the profile now well mixed with highly oxygenated freshwater. More of this to come if the months ahead I think! Thanks Jarred. |

Great bird observations once again & interesting (yet explainable) dataset with the low DOs in the deeper salt water layer. This is seasonally typical however and we should see this flush out soon with the winter rains potentially upon us. Thanks Jarred. |

Thanks guys. Data looks great for this time of year, particularly D.O. both above and below the salt-wedge, especially with the lack of rain we've had over the past 5 months (the lower salt layer can naturally become anoxic under these conditions). Cheers Jarred. |

Data looks great, with a very prominent salt-wedge! Thanks to Karen and the SWTafe students for testing; and thanks Gary for entering this data. Cheers Jarred. |
