| Description |
We received advice that the Anglesea River, which was sitting at 1.580 AHD yesterday, was opened illegally sometime between 8pm 3rd January and 7am 4th January. The channel is 0.5 m wide with quite a high amount of sand on both sides and it is flowing at a reasonable rate. I noted yesterday that the monitoring station was indicating lower dissolved oxygen levels in the top layer 2.4 mg/l (7.5 mg/l bottom). At 8.00am on January 5, the estuary had already reverted back to being closed......dynamic stuff! |
