| Description | Erskine River mouth had been closed for several days after being artificially opened on 13 April. Lorne received 31 mm rainfall (as measured at North Lorne) on 30 April and 1 May. On the morning of 2 May mouth was observed to be naturally open. Height of cut was estimated to be 1.5 to 2 metres, by comparison with the height of a heron standing nearby. Photo was taken from GOR above EP3 and EP4. River height on depth gauge on bridge was 0.7m. |
