| Description | We estimate that we saw about 50 dead fish over approximately 200-300m along the east bank of the river - just upstream of the bridge. The river water was very brown and turbid, and flowing rapidly. The surf off the Ocean Grove beach was also really discoloured and this brownish water extended out to sea for quite a distance - maybe more than a kilometre. On the other hand, the water along Thirteenth Beach looked clean, but an aerial view would be needed to get the real picture. |
