Description Following recent rains, the Painkalac Reservoir is at capacity (Barwon Water website). On the scheduled monitoring date in September (11-12 September 2009) EstuaryWatch sites P3 (Coastal Court ) and P4 (The Bend) were underwater, and monitoring from these two sites was considered unsafe.

There was little change in the water level in the days following.

The attached photographs were taken on 15 September 2009. The gauge board at the Great Ocean Rd bridge showed the water level at 1.8m.
