Thanks again guys, really good results.  Some interesting D.O. readings (high), but quite expected due to on-going dry and warm weather.  Basically indicates some additional oxygen producing activity occurring, which most likely is algal growth/bloom.  Thanks Jarred.

Hi everyone, great data set once again & looks like some late season algal blooms have been persisting - shown by the high DO readings.  Typical of the Merri however, as Nitrate and Phosphurus levels are generally elevated in the catchment.  Thanks.

Great data also.  Like the lower estuary site, June rainfall has increased streamflow and created a highly oxygenated freshwater profile.  Temps are dropping too!!  Great work, thanks.  Jarred O.

Great readings everyone - very consistent and dominated by winter freshwater following recent wet weather.  Thanks Jarred.

Thanks again Gary & Rachel.  Very fresh and turbid profile!

As flagged Gary, we're currently looking at artificial opening at the Cutting so this information, particularly a consistent D.O. profile at or above 5mg/L, is really important to support such decision.

Regards Jarred.

Jarred - thanks everyone.  Interesting to see the DO's in the upper water levels are on the rise - most likely being driven by warmer surface water driving algae growth, typical of the summer season.

Jarred - great results as well.  Looks like a freshwater bloom happening up at Fonterra as well, with D.O.s very high!!
