#8977 28 Jan 2014 Approved Notes: Fisherman reported cloudy water a couple of days ago and dead fish on shore (had caught good bream lately). Sea water in ocean near mouth is dark red/brown in areas. I was snorkelling - visibility dropped dramatically.

Opening occluded by seaweed - seaweed pushing up into estuary. Large flock of seagulls on beach near estuary mouth. 1 large seabird foraging amongst seaweed in the estuary.

sand over height of the guage- unable to read below 0.35m. Numbers are obscured by grime.

Very large kelp along the sides of estuary. Small migratory birds in seaweed beside estuary mouth . Course of the creek has moved further south due to large sand bar that has built up. 1/2 dozen people fishing in surf beside estuary mouth.
