Estuary event details
Estuary Curdies River Estuary
Region Corangamite CMA
Event type Weather Event
Date and time 26 June 2014 15:20pm
Description As we can see the river from our dining/lounge room we were wondering why the river wasn't dropping, so decided to investigate.
The sea is coming across from time to time, the sea being very rough. With wind, etc no wonder the river can't get out. But it will again soon as a lot of water pouring in. The little bridge at the bottom of the road to our farm is only 10-20 cm below. It floods at lest once a year, taking soil and gravel with it! But usually a month later.
Photos taken at 3.20pm. High tide at 1.40pm (Port Campbell).
Regards,
Marg
