Notes

Waves over high sand build up at mouth & upstream rocks -No fresh water (dark) discharge but some salt return

Rough sea impacting on high sand east of entrance then travelling west entering channel with occaisional small waves into estuary

Strong longshore drift

Salt water about 50m upstream rocks

Waves in all directions causing whirlpool around & upstream rocks

Water has been very high in estuary at last hi tide

Dead petrel east side of channel, 7 Silver gulls & many Coots in estuary
