Notes

Strong outflow of dark water over shallow area at mouth then flowing mainly to east

While outflow is quite strong small waves are entering channel

Waves in all directions at mouth with strong longshore drift to west & whirlpool in front of rocks

Channel flowing out main flow against cliff & through small gap between rocks. Sand build up on east side

Beach wide & slopping with highest point at mid beach where sand projects into ocean (eastern area scouring out)

Water has been high in estuary (hi tide/rough sea)

Immature Pacific Gull 1. feeding amongst seaweed & rubbish at mid beach
