  • Strong longshore drift across weak outflow over a very shallow area in front of rocks, flow only between rocks & cliff
  • More sand at mouth & along most of the channel, the east side of which has sheer side suggesting a recent release
  • Ocean beach is changing shape - sand projection has formed in the west half of the curve, sand cliffs near mid beach have been slightly smoothed out, waves are still going high up in low area mid beach
  • Many small moth's wings & squid carapaces in swash line east side of channel
  • Sand bar exposed
  • Large no. small fish along east side of estuary especially near seagrass & water growing vegetation
  • Algae forming along eastside of estuary

  • Small area of dark discharge east of mouth being held back by longshore drift travelling toward & across the mouth, waves in all directions in that area with occasional wave entering channel
  • More sand at mouth & along channel
  • Sand cliff at mid beach increased in height but recent rough seas have reduced the high build up just east of mouth
  • Tern fishing along foreshore & along channel
  • Many small fish in water filled channels around vegetation along low track (east side of est.)

  • Extremely shallow around mouth -more sand also in channel (steep east side 20-30cm)
  • Very strong longshore drift impacting on rocks & cliff then travelling upstream
  • waves have been high on beach & 2nd smaller sand cliff has formed in front of existing one
  • Waves high up over a smooth area mid beach & travelling to west behind a large sand build up near mouth where they enter over rocks & upstream

  • Area between rocks & sea very shallow, also upstream rocks

  • High sand with sheer face formed at mid beach (2m +)extending toward east but area near mouth is rounded off
  • Hooded Plover tracks toward east end of beach

  • Only very slight discharge at mouth
  • Waves in all directions at mouth with strong longshore drift. Occasional waves entering both sides of rocks
  • Sand build up has increased around mouth & in channel
  • The path of last weeks longshore drift entry around mouth & upstream of rocks has been cut away -there is now a sheer east side to channel (60-80cm high)
  • Ocean beach still horseshoe shaped with steep slope to ocean, sand cliff at east end remains

  • Flow out but only between rock & cliff face - strong cascade in that area
  • Ocean beach has been affected by rough seas with short swell duration & is now undulating with a short sheer faced sand cliff formed 2/3rds east from mouth
  • Signs of strong longshore drift along beach front impacting on mouth and upstream rocks where sand can be seen starting to build up in channel
  • 60cm.+ sheer east side to channel downstream rocks where it meets the sea
  • Active strong longshore drift with waves in all directions at mouth
